My abilities to train dogs has always been apparent, even from a young age. My family members would crack jokes and call me Dr. Dolittle or the Dog Whisperer as I spent most of my free time either learning about various breeds through books, watching Animal Planet, or spending time doing some kind of activity with my dog more than I did with the neighborhood children, even asking my uncle to stay at his house just so that I could spend time with his Rottweiler mix, Taz.

Growing up, it was no secret that I wanted to be an animal doctor, so me taking up veterinary medicine to become a vet tech straight out of high school didnt really come to a shock to anyone. However, after almost a year actually working in a vet clinic, I quickly learned that that wasn’t the field for me. I knew I had more to offer.

Over the years leading up to me deciding to train full time on my own, I spent a good amount of time working in shelters and other dog training facilities before realizing what was meant for me was to go out on my own. What I was trying to achieve was not going to come by working under someone else. I had something special. Something I would only be able to do by starting my own company. So I did.

While I do not claim to be the best trainer ever, I do believe my understanding and approach to training sets me apart from many others out there.

I believe that it takes more than simply knowing how to get a dog to do a specific behavior. It also requires knowing how a dog thinks and perceives the world around them. Understanding the why behind what we do is just as important.

Seeing things from their perspective drastically increases one’s ability, not just to communicate, but to understanding of the species as a whole

In December of 2020 I quit my jobs and officially started my own LLC. My Dynamic Dog. I had did it! I had finally gained the freedom necessary to teach people how to understand and communicate with their dogs, proving invaluable information that they could carry for a lifetime! I helped numerous people with their dogs, some even going beyond just clients. Forming actually bonds and relationships. It was amazing! It was a good run, up until year 2.

In January of 2022 I had an accident that caused me to have multiple hospital stays and an extensive recovery period. During this time, I could not work. I had to sell my home to avoid foreclosure, my car went down, and a long term relationship ended. My LLC had lapsed, and I was broken. My heart and mind, shattered. I was vulnerable, but I was also determined. Determined to get back to what I love. Helping dogs by helping people understand them. Which brings us to today.

After years of being away from training, in 2025 I was finally able to get back in the saddle! To come back, bigger, better, stronger. I stated slow, helping family members, a few people around the neighborhood. I started slow, but I started.

Now, while I am not fully 100%, I am far enough along to start truly offering my services again. It may take time to rebuild what I had, but I am sure it will be better than it ever was!

My Dynamic Dog is back, and at the same time is under construction. I am in the process of rebranding, as well as introducing some new services.

I have started a TikTok page (@walkinthedogpark) where I help owners better understand their dog, share training videos, business and client accomplishments, as well as common dog misconceptions. If you would like to give us a follow, we would love to have you! As the business and community grows, I also plan on creating a Facebook group for all of my clients and members. Stay tuned!
